Homemade Chicken Stock

Brandon comes home today.
So excited 2 weeks without a husband is a really long time for a girl.
So I wanted our house to feel really 'homey' for him when he gets here,
and what is more 'homey' then a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup on the stove, right?

If you have never made your own chicken stock I highly recommend it.
Basically you will never want to go back to the store bought boxes.

It's really easy all you do is fill your pot with water.

Add:
Whole Carrots
Celery Stocks
Sweet Yellow Onion
Bay Leaves
Salt and Pepper to Taste
1 Tablespoon of Sugar (optional but I like it a tiny bit sweet)
And the Bones and Remains of a Rotisserie Chicken

Bring it all to a boil and then let it simmer on the stove for 3-4 hours.
Drain everything out.
Then separate the fat out with a fat skimmer or just by spooning it off the top.
Take the amount you need for your chicken noodle soup and store the rest in the freezer for later.

For your soup

Add:
Egg Noodles
Meat of the Rotisserie Chicken
remaining cut of carrots
Sliced Celery
and anything else you want to.

Enjoy!
