Blast from MY Past!

Okay so I scanned a million photos about 4 months ago in the attempt to make a book or slide show or something wonderful for my family this christmas season.  My family has a trillion scrapbooks and photos everywhere and I thought it would be nice to have them scanned in in case of a fire or something.  Well it is now November almost 20th and yes I did the hardest part by scanning over 250 photos into my computer (luckily before the move or it would never have been done)  but have done nothing with them. I obviously am missing the whole point of why I started this madness.   Maybe I need some inspiration, so this is my inspiration.  Enjoy, some are pretty funny and old!

Okay I've been known to rip on those huge "UTAH" flowers everyone puts in their babies hair but I guess they had big things in kids hair when I was young too and I even grew up in Las Vegas.

I used to have a lot of hair, what happened?

My cute parents...I hope I do not get in trouble for this!

I loved taking care of my baby brother from the first day he was born!  Look at those blue eyes.

Love it!

Oh the dorm and cheer...what memories.

The MTC....did you know Brandon and I were there at the same time??
This was the closest we could get.

Preaching the gospel.  Thought Mekell and Courtney would like this one.

Well that pretty mush sums up my life.  Thanks for staying with me through that.
Thats enough for now but cannot make any promises there wont be more at a later date.

Lion's and Tigers and Bears...OH MY!

Such a FUN Halloween this year.  We put together our costumes in a day but they turned out better than expected.  We even won "Best Costume" and our Annual Halloween Party (an award we have been trying to receive for years!)  Jasmine made the best Toto and was a doll in her little basket although she didn't stay in there for long because everyone pretty much passes her around the whole party, she was in Heaven.

Falling for Apples!

We had a great weekend. Couldn't wait to make carmel apples with friends.

We thought it would be a fun "couples" activity.
Well.......we thought wrong.

We had fun nevertheless and our apples sure were delicious.

Don't you just love FALL!

Lake Tahoe Part Two

I thought I would post some non wedding pictures of our fun getaway to Lake Tahoe.  It was surely a place we will visit again.

We rode bikes around town which was my personal highlight!

We walked along the beach with our Jamba Juices and literally sat and talked for hours.

And we ate at the most amazing restaurant (check it out here) and ate Lobster Tails and Filet Mignon while watching the sun set on the lake.  We had the most incredible seating in the house thanks to Brandon's reservations.

Awww... El Amor!

A Lake Tahoe Wedding

We had such a wonderful time in Lake Tahoe over the weekend.  I can honestly say it is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in the United States.  The beach the mountains the pines and the sand.  Where else can you find all of that nestled into one quaint town?  We were there for Brandon's sister's wedding.  Somehow I was asked to do all the flowers for the wedding, I guess there is a first for everything.  I thought to myself, I am sure I can figure this out...then I actually had to do it.  I had never made boutonnieres or archways or anything like that before.  So as usual I jumped in with both feet.  I had this great idea to reuse the ceremony flowers for the centerpieces at the reception to save on cost and I ended up using a lot of what nature offered.  Which meant Brandon and I scavenging around for sticks, pine cones, and berries last minute.  I could not have achieved it without Brandon he helped me every step of the way and stayed up late at night putting together flower balls and  boutonnieres with me.  With only one night to pull everything together it was an adventure to say the least.  In my opinion we pulled it off aside from many things that went wrong.  I will spare you the details but figuring out the chair covers didn't fit at 9:00 pm before the wedding day was not fun.  But we improvised and just wrapped the tops of the chairs.  No one would have known the difference.  It was a memory we surely wont forget.

*NOTE*  I am no professional photographer but in the spare time I did try to capture some decent shots.  Hopefully more to come once we get the pictures back from the actual photographer.
